Merrymeeting
Soccer Club provides opportunities for boys and girls living within the
MSAD 75 area (Topsham, Bowdoin, Bowdoinham, and Harpswell) to play
travel team soccer as part of SoccerMaine. Players from outside the
District, who do not have an opportunity to play with a local club may
also try out for the teams.

JUNE 11th through 30th 2009
Travel soccer does
require time and effort by players, but Merrymeeting strikes a good
balance for our families. Most of our games are within a 30 minute
drive from Topsham on Sundays.
There are usually 2 practices per week, fewer for players on school
teams. The fall season begins in late August and finishes in late
October.
Merrymeeting is a
wonderful way for players who have displayed a strong interest in
soccer to develop their skills. We provide positive soccer experiences
at a very reasonable cost. The $175 fee covers 2 tournaments and a
week long camp, Aug. 3-7 with daily 3 hour sessions
directed by Jimmy Hopkins, womens soccer coach at Dean
College. Merrymeeting Soccer Club is run by dedicated
volunteers serving our young players.
Merrymeeting offers teams
from the Under-10 through Under-14 age
levels.
Each player must be under
the age of his or her team level on July
31, 2009.
For example, a U-12
player must be under the age of 12 on July
31st.
If you will be attending a tryout, please register your child online for Classic soccer at: https://www.youthleaguesusa.com/sm/09-10/0029/fall/Welcome.html No payment is required at this time. Please print out the medical release form and bring it and a photocopy of your childs birth certificate to the tryout. Registration forms will also be available at the tryouts. Players must wear shinguards for tryouts.
If
you cannot make the tryout, contact the person listed for your age
group by June 15th.
